THE STORY BEHIND THE STORY

Hello, I’m Connie.

I’m a speaker and bestselling author from Melbourne, Australia. This is my first book for children.

I carried this story for many years before writing it down in prison, during the hardest time of my life. An English teacher encouraged me to write it, and that encouragement stayed with me.

Now Natalie and Dirk have a book of their own.

“For the teacher who believed in this story before I did.”The book’s dedication
